Our Scientific Summit Timeline
17–18 August 2013 · Hosted by Endocrine Society of India (ESI)
The historic 1st Endocrine Summit of the South Asian Federation of Endocrine Societies (SAFES) marked the official launch of regional endocrine collaboration across South Asia, under the leadership of inaugural SAFES President Dr. Sarita Bajaj.
Organized with Dr. N. Sudhakar Rao (Organizing Chairperson), Dr. Rakesh Sahay (Organizing Secretary), and Dr. Subhankar Chowdhury (Scientific Committee Chairperson), the summit brought together over 440 delegates and faculties representing all five founding member nations: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
24–26 April 2015 · Hosted in Dhaka
The second summit expanded SAFES collaboration with participation from doctors, researchers, and endocrine societies across South Asia.
Sessions included lectures, workshops, quizzes, debates, and scientific presentations.
2017 · Hosted by Pakistan Endocrine Society
Pakistan hosted the third SAFES Summit, continuing the legacy of scientific collaboration and strengthening regional endocrinology partnerships.
